Thomas Vale Construction were appointed as the main building contractor for this project and our rooflights formed part of the roofing and cladding sub-contract, which was awarded to Kovara Projects Limited - a leading specialist roofing and cladding contractor.
We worked closely with Kovara right from the early stages, offering detailed information about upstand detailing, tolerances and so on. Once the final rooflight dimensions had been determined our technical department prepared and issued a full set of manufacture drawings for Kovara's approval.
The rooflight order was for the design, manufacture, delivery and installation of 2No. barrel vault rooflights, for an internal upstand dimension of: 1No. @ 1100x9100mm and 1No. @ 1100x33100mm.

Kovara installed the galvanised steel upstands, which were insulated and weathered to the Kingspan TopDeck flat roofing membrane, ready for our specialist rooflight installers.
Once we had received drawing approval, our state of the art factory commenced rooflight manufacture and materials were delivered to site, ready for installation just 4 weeks later.
